In collaboration with our partner and support organizations, ADFC is proud to announce the establishment of our
first community based African information and resource centre, called the Richmond African Community Centre (RACC), in the
city of Richmond, BC. The purpose of RACC is to kick start our ROYSCCE (Referral, Open Forum and Discussion, Youth Empowerment,
Social network and support, Cultural Development, and Civic Engagement) program. ROYSCCE is an innovative initiative by ADFC
to deal with the masked and expressed needs of the growing continental African community in Canada. The goal
of RACC is to facilitate the creation of a healthy, strong, resilient and viable African community in the city of Richmond
through safe integration, productive engagement, dialogue, healthy partnerships, youth empowerment, voice, and
cultural development.
ADFC invites all Africans living in or around Richmond to participate in our short online
survey to make the planning of our proposed community centre effective and inclusive. The Executive Director, Board
of Directors and planning team of RACC value your inputs and thank you in advance for sharing them with us.
As a T.E.A.M,
we believe in the power of collective action and shared purpose.
